Keith Singleton’s new venture at his Garden Nursery at Nethertown is a must for anyone wanting to sample excellent food. Located just outside of Egremont, it is well worth taking the time to visit us even if it is only for a coffee and snack.

Keith and his family set out to provide West Cumbria with one of the best cafe/restaurants in the area and there is no doubt that they have succeeded. Situated in a modern eco-friendly building, adjacent to his extensive nursery, it serves a wide range of local produce cooked in-house, as well as genuine Italian and Thai dishes.

Many of the Italian dishes, such as pizzas, lasagnas, and other pasta dishes are produced in a genuine wood fired stone oven imported from Tuscany.

Good Companions Restaurant is open every day from 10.00 a.m. and also on Thursday (theme nights), Friday and Saturday evenings. Sunday lunches are also available though these are now becoming so popular that booking is advisable.

Full menus are served from 6.00 pm with last orders from the main kitchen at approx. 8.30 pm. However, if you are pushed for time and need to eat earlier, please phone in.

The pizza oven kitchen is open from 11.30 am until last orders at 10.00 pm.
